In a mixing bowl, cream margarine with an electric mixer. Add the sugar, molasses, 1 cup of the flour, egg, seasonings, and baking soda. Beat until well blended. Blend in remaining flour. Shape into 1-inch balls. Bake 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets at 375 degrees for about 8 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. MAKES 48 COOKIES. Per cookie: 48 calories and 1.5 grams of fat. |
